Today the Borismaster was in Bromley. The bus is currently touring across the length and breadth of London to show Londoners what buses of the future may look like. The bus underneath is very similar to its sister, a Wright Eclipse Gemini 2. The bus has been built by Wrightbus in Ballymeena, Northern Ireland. Only 8 templates have been built, LT1-8, this bus is LT1 the one that is being shown to the general public. The bus's windows do not open, as the bus uses air cooling, a thing that is completely different to air conditoning as I was told by a TFL member of staff.
So, what is the difference between air conditioning and air cooling

ReplyDeleteTalking of new buses, today I went on the newly refurbished 160 and it was only the second one that left from cat ford
ReplyDeleteYou've gotta check out the new raised seating at the frOnt of the bus so you can see everything the driver is doing and the new seat covers. It's great!!!!!
ReplyDeleteReally have they been built like to the new spec with a roundel on the sides and also did you notice a yellow line at the bottom Cousin Rachel?

ReplyDeletea. the terrible shaking at idle on some buses, and
b. when it rains, the inside surface of the windows are all streaming with water
A bit of hi-tech lateral thinking should be able to solve this.
